under cover: kate moss for vogue

When I first heard that Kate Moss would be gracing the cover of Vogue's August "Age" issue, I was actually pretty psyched, thinking such a dynamic cover subject would finally beget a cool, creative cover. How wrong I was. Don't get me wrong, I think Kate looks gorgeous, but she looks nothing like the real, rocker-chic, boho Kate we all know and love. Quite honestly, she looks more like Cindy McCain. Which makes me wonder: for an age-themed issue, why would you want to "age" your cover subject? Or maybe, Vogue went for a straight-laced Kate simply because it's the complete antithesis of what she's all about?
What do you think? Let me know in the comments.
