I think this reviewer might be a bit out of touch with the female population...the incidents within the film that he mentions above are exactly what we girls want - love, drama, wedded bliss, cameos from our old friends. Yes a power ballad by Jennifer Hudson would have gone too far but this film is a crowd pleaser for all the sex and the city fans out there without exception. While this reviewer can be critical about the film from a cinematic, technical POV i dont think that Michael Patrick King was trying to win an Oscar; he was just trying to make all of us SATC fans very very happy...and mission accomplished! Five Cosmos out of five, for me!

I heavily agree with this review.

As an avid fan every Tuesday evening at 9.30pm curling up on the couch in my gown, I was more than disappointed with this movie. It seemed to me that they'd tried to pack 6 series into a 2hrs+ movie with cheesy & predictable punch lines.

At least 3 times I enthusiastically wanted this movie to end, the story dragged by!! Two thumbs down from me.

it's interesting that the ratings are so different when a chick and a guy review the movie.

This is a CHIC flick. Period. Oh no...did i say the "P" word? Sorry guys.

Look, in this wonderful world we live in, it's always the case that the guy and the girl won't see eye to eye and Sex and the City is the classic example of a flick reflecting many issues that the girl feels but the guy NEVER gets.

    Period.

I just watched the movie on Tuesday....and i LOVE it!

It's got love and forgiveness and friendships....all glorified by Manolo Blahniks and the most beautiful wedding gowns i've ever seen.

    SIGH....

"Immortal Beloved" by Ludwig van Beethoven

    The Third Letter

    Good morning, on July 7
Though still in bed, my thoughts go out to you, my Immortal Beloved, now and then joyfully, then sadly, waiting to learn whether or not fate will hear us - I can live only wholly with you or not at all - Yes, I am resolved to wander so long away from you until I can fly to your arms and say that I am really at home with you, and can send my soul enwrapped in you into the land of spirits - Yes, unhappily it must be so - You will be the more contained since you know my fidelity to you. No one else can ever possess my heart - never - never - Oh God, why must one be parted from one whom one so loves. And yet my life in V is now a wretched life - Your love makes me at once the happiest and the unhappiest of men - At my age I need a steady, quiet life - can that be so in our connection? My angel, I have just been told that the mailcoach goes every day - therefore I must close at once so that you may receive the letter at once - Be calm, only by a calm consideration of our existence can we achieve our purpose to live together - Be calm - love me - today - yesterday - what tearful longings for you - you - you - my life - my all - farewell. Oh continue to love me - never misjudge the most faithful heart of your beloved.
    ever thine
    ever mine
    ever ours
