As part of their ‘Uncut Tour’ TRIM will perform at La Dolce Vita in Park Road Milton on Sunday 3rd of June with events commencing at 12.30pm and include a Ferrari Exhibition and numerous other events. The long awaited premier of ‘...Arrivi ... Partenze’ will feature as part of the celebrations, the dance theatre piece will be performed at The Cremorne Theatre at QPAC on the 5th of June at 7.30pm and on the 6th of June at 2.30pm and 6.30pm tickets at QTIX.com.au Choreographed by Boris Bivona and Jodie White and produced by Alessandro Sorbello, ‘...Arrivi ... Partenze’ draws its influences from Niezsche, Rilke and Chatwin and explores the issue of movement and its various meanings. The common element is the concept of the voyage, depicted here as the search of something new, the instinctive attraction for the unknown, the desire of knowledge in the widest sense of the word. The multimedia performance incorporates the use of music, dance, acting, video projections and various other art forms and features Jaider de Oliveira, guitarist and percussionist performing ‘Moving’. Italian week overlaps with Queensland Week (3rd to 10th June) and the closing performance of ‘...Arrivi ... Partenze’ is on Queensland Day (6th June). The Queensland Government is supporting Italian Week and the Minister for Environment and Multicultural Affairs, Lindy Nelson Carr will open the premier of ‘...Arrivi ... Partenze’. The event is proudly supported by Mr Stephen J. Pellegrino, Chief Executive Officer of Australian Capital Limited, The Queensland Government, The South Bank Corporation and New Realm Media who are co-ordinating the event.
