It has taken a while, but as you may have noticed - we pushed up a new theme a couple of days ago to appease the regular TF’ers (apparently Pink isn’t the new black?)

So we have been listening to your gripes (& insults) – and have done our best to tweak the forum to your liking.

    Since re-launch we have:

    -          Increased the form width (to fit 1024 screens)

    -          Increased the font size

    -          Created a nice dark Grey skin – and made it the default for original TS users ( Edit Your Profile to change it http://forums.thescene.com.au/user/EditProfile.aspx)

    -          Updated the emoticons (Feel free to suggest more emoticon changes)

    -          Tweaked the avatar “Money shot”

And Moved article related posts into their own forums

We know we’ve still got a bit of tweaking to go – so feel free to send your wants/gripes to us and we’ll add it on to the list for the monkeys to work on.

    On the short list:

    -          Display original thread poster

    -          Jump to forum (Drop down box thingo)

    -          Mac friendly editor

For those of you having issues requesting a new password, don’t forget to check your spam folder (especially Hotmail users) – it’s probably hidden in there.

And if you want to change your email address on your account before requesting a new password use this ugly (but functional) tool (http://forums.thescene.com.au/updateemail/) – all you’ll need is your original TS username & password – and you’ll be able to update your new account!

    Cheers

    A couple of things.....

I go into a forum and 'mark all topics read' but then when I hit the 'view topic you have not read' I still get 29 pages of crap.

I like the old way 'view posts since your last visit' and I could 'mark all as read'.

This is how I've always used the forum and now to 'mark all posts as read' I have to go into each forum and click 3 buttons, it's annoying and time consuming.

Please confirm if there is a way to do this on the main page which I've missed.

Also, keep up the good work. One day, we might just stop bitching and actually be happy again. Stick out tongue

    what screen res you on?

well, i prefer to not have my internet window maximised, as i don't want the internet taking up my whole screen (at work)

if i maximise it, it is ok, but really, it should shrink to fit.  most other forums fit perfectly on my 75% sized internet window on a 1024 x 768

ahh - ok.. get yer - it's coz of the fixed with header..

Have you tried using Browser resizing (In Internet Explorer - Hold down control - and roll your mouse wheel down - and it will shrink shtuff for you!)

I know it's not ideal - but yeah - will be a little while before I get more design resources to do a dynamic width skin for ya Stick out tongue - so could be useful short term

hey that's pretty cool! i mean i use firefox but it still works the same, and unfortunately when i shrink it i can't read the text anymore, but its still a pretty cool thing i will use on other sites :)
