I find every site is trying to add too much functionality, message boards don't really need to be so interactive, people don't come to a forum to store photos and shit like that...One of the most popuar websites in the world has one of the most simple interfaces (google).

MS suffer greatly from many users not upgrading to newer office versions as they haven't been able to offer more hyped up must have features. Progress since Office 2000 has been minimal at best for your standard user.
